  4. Introduction
  5. ------------
  6. This is a SHAREWARE screen saver that combines pictures, 
  7. sounds and animation to brighten up your desktop as well 
  8. as prevent phosphor burn-in.
  9. If you use this program for more than 30 days (aprox. one
  10. month/ 4 weeks), you MUST register it.  See the help
  11. file for more information on registration and the Shareware
  12. concept.

  16. Requirements
  17. ------------
  18. Requires:
  19. - A PC running Windows 3.1 or higher (Windows 3.11, Windows 95, etc.)
  20. - The file VBRUN300.DLL
  21. - About 350K disk space (assumming an average sized log file)
  22. Recommended:
  23. - 8 MB RAM or more
  24. - 256 colour or higher video driver
  25. - Sound card

  29. Installation
  30. ------------
  31. First, you'll have to put the files in their appropriate directories.
  32. Here are the files, their descriptions and the directories they belong
  33. in (Your Windows directory is *usually* C:\WINDOWS and your 
  34. Windows\System directory is *usually* C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM).

  73. If it tells you that you already have THREED.VBX, SPIN.VBX, etc., 
  74. then overwrite the old one ONLY if it's a newer version. 
  75. * VBRUN300.DLL, which is not included because of its size, is 
  76. available on the Internet and many BBSs.

  78. INI file changes
  79. ----------------
  80. When you run the configuration and you press Okay, it'll write to 
  81. the CONTROL.INI file for the screen saver settings.  However, if you
  82. want to disable rebooting, you'll have to add this line to the 
  83. [386enh] section of your SYSTEM.INI file (note that it'll not work 
  84. in standard mode):
  85. DEVICE=VRBTD.386
  86. You'll have to restart Windows for this to work.

  88. Setting options
  89. ---------------
  90. To set the options, in Windows 3.x, go to Control Panel and double 
  91. click the Desktop icon.  In the Windows 95, go to Display.  Then 
  92. under Screen Saver, choose Luke's SS I.  You can press Test to 
  93. test it (or the equivalent in Windows 95).  Press Setup...  to 
  94. show the configuration screen.  From there, you could select the 
  95. moving bitmap, choose the background colour, change the password, etc.
